About the Event

 Angela Leonhardt is the music specialist at Hidden ForestElementary in San Antonio where she was the 2018 NEISDElementary Teacher of the Year. She holds Masters degrees inMusic Education and Administration with principal certificationandis currently working on a DMA from Boston University. Shereceived her Orff certification from Trinity University. Angelateaches Orff Level I Pedagogy courses in the summer and is anactive clinician in the US and Canada.She has served on the Board of Directors of the Central Texas OrffChapterin the posts of Recording Secretary,Treasurer,VP andPresidentand chair of theCurriculum Oversight and ReviewCommittee for AOSA.Her service to NAfME-Texas a division ofNAfMEincludesPresident,the council of chairs for K-12 MusicandMusic in Our Schools Month.Publications have been included in The Southwestern Musician, TMEC Connections,AOSA Reverberations and General Music Today. She is a contributing author withGrowing in Graceanddirects children’s choirs at her church and school. She serves asan adjunct professor on the music education faculty at the University of Texas at SanAntonio and Trinity University teaching courses in music technology, diverse learners inthe music classroom and music and related arts.
