About the Event
Explore the ways you’re already a culturally responsive music educator and explore ideas to expand your practice!
This session will involve the children’s book, “The Goat and the Rug” as told to Charles L. Blood and Martin Link,
to understand contemporary culturally responsive frameworks and the National Arts Standards using the Orff/Keetman approach.
Our goal is to help New Mexico music teachers expand their efficacy as culturally responsive educators authentic to their own teaching artistry and environments.
*Participants are encouraged to bring their primary instruments, Guitars, ukes, etc.
Additionally, participants should bring a laptop or tablet or any note taking system of their preference.
